What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Aided Design Drafter position at Ferber Sheet Metal Works?
We are looking for an entry to mid-level CAD draftsman to join the team! Our successful hire will be tasked with helping to convert mechanical ductwork drawings from project engineers into fabrication shop drawings for our field personnel.
At a minimum, candidates must:
- Have experience with AutoCAD by Autodesk. Autodesk Fabrication (CADMep) a plus.
- Be familiar with 3D principles
- Have good communication skills
- Excel at working in a team environment
- Are eager to learn
Experience in a BIM environment is a plus. All of our BIM works are coordinated efforts with multiple trades involved, so a professional and amicable attitude is our department standard. All work is in an office environment, on site (no remote work), and require a full day behind a computer workstation.

Pay is negotiable, but offered range for position is between $20-25 / hour based on experience.
