We are looking for a capable and reliable maintenance technician to join our team! As a maintenance technician, your chief responsibilities will be to maintain and preserve the functionality of our properties, and to upkeep the condition of the properties to the finest possible quality. Duties in this position include assessing properties, making necessary repairs, responding to requests in a timely manner, and evaluating and controlling inventory.
The ideal candidate for our team has a knowledge of maintenance, including HVAC, general plumbing, and a willingness to get the job done. Candidates must have communication and organizational skills, and the ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Performing general maintenance and maintenance requests from residents and office staff.
- Inspecting units, buildings, and equipment to identify any potential problems, and find solutions.
- Repairing or replacing faulty equipment such as appliances.
- Developing and implementing preventative maintenance procedures.
- Managing heating and plumbing systems.
- Planning and scheduling repairs.
- Conducting periodic inspections to ensure overall functionality and to ensure standards are met.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role.
- Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
