Role Description
This is a full-time role for an experienced Paralegal in our Estate Planning department. We are looking for a motivated team-member who is detail-oriented and can manage a steady workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare documents related to estate planning: Types, transcribes, revises, and proofreads legal documents accurately, prioritizes assignments, and meets specific deadlines on projects
- Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy
- Coordinates client billing matters, prepares billing letters and other requested client financial updates
- Ability to proofread correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Schedule client appointments in coordination with the attorney or legal assistant
- Managing electronic and paper case files
- Client communication as necessary
- Consistently deliver outstanding client service and quality
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant within the areas of Estate Planning
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent writing, research, and proofreading skills
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Independent judgment and discretion in management of workload
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Knowledge of working with law firm case/document management programs
- Ability to perform effectively within established time limits and ongoing deadlines
- Notary Public or willing to become a Notary Public
- Paralegal Certificate a plus
