What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gymnastics Head Coach position at Fergus Falls Area Family YMCA?
Description
This position provides direct supervision, quality instruction, and a safe and supportive environment for children in gymnastics classes. You will create a positive, nurturing relationship with the children, while building cooperative relationships with the parents and caregivers. You will promote and support the potential of all youth in programs and you will facilitate peer-to-peer connections as part of the overall program experience.
Essential Functions :
- Instructs energizing, fun, and safe gymnastics lessons, having prepared lesson plans.
- Maintains records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.).
- Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
- Models and instills the Y Core Values of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.
- Organizes and puts away needed class equipment. Reports damaged equipment and low supplies.
