JOB SUMMARY:
Primary Responsibility of this position requires safely driving a concrete mixer truck, and willing to train the right person to drive flatbed truck, boom truck and dump truck, unloading ready-mix concrete, block, brick and masonry materials to various job sites, attaching and detaching chutes as necessary, use of a Moffit to unload materials at various job sites, and maintain a clean truck both inside and out.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Safely driving the truck under loading hopper for each load mix.
- Safely driving the truck to and from destination applying knowledge of DOT driving regulations and area roads.
- Verify directions with Dispatcher before leaving to ensure delivery to the correct customer and job site.
- Strive to meet customer expectations without exception.
- Keep equipment in an acceptable condition of cleanliness using approved cleaning materials and supplies, after deliveries to prevent hardening of concrete in the mixer and on the truck.
- Maintain contact with supervisor/dispatch to receive and transmit delivery instructions.
- Assist other company employees as needed.
- Complete pre and post trip inspections on the truck, the equipment, and the supplies, such as tires, light brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Must be able to take orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors and management.
- Cooperate and promote a team concept with all other company employees, as well as customers.
- Adhere to all Company, DOT, and OSHA rules and regulations at all times.
- Meet or exceed company safety standards.
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Qualifications
- Must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL A or B) CDL A is preferred, but not necessary.
- Must have a clean driving record in the last 5 years and maintain a clean driving record during employment.
- Ability to pass the pre-employment DOT drug screening.
- High School Diploma Preferred.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a DOT med card.
