Average annual income ranging from $58,240 - $99,800 (based on hours worked)

Diesel Mechanic Job Summary :

Are you an experienced mechanic? Come join our team! Ferguson Brothers Excavating is hiring heavy equipment mechanics and truck mechanics to work on : Heavy Equipment : Caterpillar, Kubota, John Deere, Bobcat; and trucks : Mack, Ford, Sterling, various pickups. If you are a skilled mechanic with experience working on diesel engines and heavy equipment, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career with a family-owned, industry-leading company.

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities :

Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Conduct routine maintenance, including inspections, fluid changes, and part replacement.

Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues.

Collaborate with team members to address complex repairs and provide excellent customer service.

Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.

Adhere to safety standards and protocols while working on various machinery.

Diesel Mechanic Requirements :

1 years of hands-on experience working with diesel engines or heavy equipment.

Proven expertise in automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance, with a focus on diesel truck repairs.

Proficiency in using hand tools for mechanical repairs, including work on transmissions, air brakes, and hydraulics.

Experience in heavy equipment operation and fabrication is a plus.

Strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Drug and alcohol testing required before the first workday.

Medical DOT Health Card required for the position.

Diesel Mechanic Preferences :

CDL A (preferred but not required).
