The Assistant Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting the overall management of construction projects. This role involves assisting the Project Manager with various tasks to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist in coordinating project activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
- Maintain and organize project documentation, such as contracts, change orders, permits, and correspondence.
- Help monitor and track project budgets, including expenses and cost estimates.
- Facilitate effective communication between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
- Support quality control efforts by ensuring work is performed according to project specifications and addressing any quality issues that arise.
- Assist in identifying and resolving project issues and conflicts, working with the Project Manager to develop solutions and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, inspect work, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Assist in managing subcontractor performance, including coordinating their work, ensuring timely task completion, and addressing performance issues.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to the Project Manager and other stakeholders, providing updates on project status, budget, and schedule.
- Support adherence to safety regulations and protocols on the construction site to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
