YOUR DAY TO DAY AS AN EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO TOWNSHIP MANAGER

As the Executive Assistant to the Township Manager at Ferguson Township, you will provide essential administrative support, assisting with Township operations and advancing the Board of Supervisors' priorities. Your role will help manage daily activities, ensuring efficiency and effective task completion. You will also enhance communication, coordination, and collaboration, supporting the Township's commitment to customer service and integrity.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN AN EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE TOWNSHIP MANAGER

A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration or a related field, supplemented by three (3) or more years of administrative work experience is ideal; or the candidate can possess an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. To excel in the Executive Assistant role at Ferguson Township, a diverse skill set is essential. Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude will foster a positive and productive work environment, facilitating effective collaboration with colleagues and leadership alike. You must possess strong writing skills, enabling you to create clear, persuasive, and error-free documents that are tailored to various audiences. Proficiency in office administration systems and procedures, as well as a solid understanding of project planning, tracking, and execution, is vital. Familiarity with budgets, invoices, and expense reports will also be important as you navigate daily tasks.

Being well-versed in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, is required, and the ability to quickly learn new software is a must. Furthermore, you should thrive in a fast-paced setting with multiple priorities, maintaining confidentiality, demonstrating strong judgment, and showcasing problem-solving abilities under pressure.
