This is changing the way businesses operate through a content-native shopping platform that empowers brands to drive strong conversions, run experiments with funnels to improve KPIs, and streamline customer acquisition.About the Role : We’re searching for a visionary Machine Learning Engineer to join FERMÀT as the founding member of our AI / ML team. This is your chance to shape Pierre, FERMÀT's AI Agent, from the ground up—an intelligence engine designed to redefine commerce experiences through cutting-edge personalization, automation, and operational insights. In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to architect and implement scalable ML solutions, lead research projects, and stay ahead of the curve by experimenting with the latest advancements in AI, including LLMs and chatbots.As a key contributor to our engineering team, you’ll drive the strategy and hands-on implementation of MLOps pipelines, developing and deploying machine learning models that power AI-driven decision-making across our platform. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves tackling complex challenges, and is excited to shape the future of AI-powered commerce. If you’re passionate about building transformative systems and driving impact at scale, we’d love to hear from you.Responsibilities : Shape FERMÀT's long-term ML / AI strategy and align with the core product roadmapDesign, develop, and maintain end-to-end MLOps pipelines, from data ingestion to model deployment and monitoringProvide technical guidance and feedback on ML projects across the organizationExperiment with innovative machine learning architectures, incorporating LLMs into traditional ML systemsCollaborate closely with Data, Product, and Engineering teams to deploy models into production environmentsEvaluate and optimize model performance, scalability, and effectiveness, implementing necessary updatesRequirements : 3 years of experience in traditional machine learning, with exposure to modeling using LLMs4 years of professional experience in software engineeringStrong proficiency in Python and Java, along with other programming languages commonly used in machine learningExpertise in data structures, data modeling, and data visualization, with strong data handling skillsSolid background in statistical analysis and data analysis for model training and evaluationExcellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and translating technical conceptsExperience in big data processing and feature engineeringPrevious experience in a fast-paced startup environmentSelf-motivated with a strong sense of urgencyExceptional problem-solving skills and an aptitude for exploring novel model architecturesBachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related fieldBenefits Competitive salary equity packageComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for you and all your dependents.401(k) plan with 4% matching4 months of paid parental leaveUnlimited PTO policy (with minimum 5 days PTO / quarter!)WFH stipendMonthly wellness stipend#J-18808-Ljbffr
