About the role:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Operations to lead and optimize our Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics functions. As the VP of Operations, you will be responsible for developing and executing a scalable strategy that aligns with our company’s goals and growth trajectory. This is a high-impact role, and your leadership will directly contribute to our ability to meet the increasing demand for our products and strengthen our market position.
In this role you will be accountable for:
- Overseeing all aspects of operations across our portfolio of food brands, ensuring efficiency, cost control, quality, and safety. The scope of the role covers all operations, from sourcing of ingredients to planning, manufacturing and delivering
- Leading the optimization of manufacturing costs, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives, driving lean manufacturing practices
- Overseeing the Customer Operations team, focusing on identifying process improvement opportunities and KPI’s that enhance the response time and service
- Developing and executing a procurement strategy that ensures the timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and other items needed for production, while maintaining quality standards
- Establishing strategic supplier partnerships to secure the best possible pricing, terms, and service levels
- Leading the logistics strategy for inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, and distribution to ensure the efficient movement of products from suppliers to manufacturing facilities and to customers
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Developing and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor operational performance and drive decision-making
Must-haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 7 years of experience managing teams cross functionally
- 10 years of experience in the Food Industry and/or CPG sector
- Proven track record of success in scaling supply chain operations
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Deep understanding of food industry regulations, quality control standards, and safety compliance
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets and driving cost efficiencies
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
- This role may require travelling to various locations across the US
How you differentiate yourself:
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Proficiency with supply chain software, ERP systems (NetSuite), and other relevant tools
- Ability to thrive in a startup-like, rapidly evolving business environment
- Experience in managing complex supply chain challenges, including global sourcing, logistics optimization, and supply chain technology implementations
