Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient care and ensuring a seamless experience from the initial consultation through treatment. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of medical office procedures. The Treatment Coordinator will work closely with both patients and healthcare providers to facilitate effective treatment plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review and maintain accurate documentation related to patient treatment plans and progress.
- Manage office operations, including scheduling appointments, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring efficient front desk activities.
- Utilize dentrix ascend and other systems for patient management, documentation, and billing processes.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Provide support as a dental assistant, greeting patients warmly and addressing their inquiries.
- Assist with dental billing tasks, including processing insurance claims and managing payment collections.
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks related to patient records and billing information.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure that all necessary information is communicated effectively.
Requirements
- Must be dental x-ray certified
- Familiarity with dentrix ascend or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is advantageous.
- Proficient in dental billing processes and terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
