Job Description : Caf Attendant - Part-Time
Department : Dining Services
Reports to : Kitchen Manager
Summary :
As a part of Fernbank's Caf Team, this position is a key element in ensuring a quality guest experience. This position will alternate between the dining space and back of house.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure cleanliness and maintain dining area and kitchen work areas in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition
- Review the daily / weekly special events order
- Buss tables and rearrange furniture based on the day and the event
- Supply service bar with food, such as soups, salads, and desserts.
- Clean doors of service bars and equipment such as coffee urns, soda fountain, and cream and milk dispensers
- Stock and replenish condiments display daily
- Remove trash as needed
- Assist with beverage station set-up before opening of caf and as needed throughout shift
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish room and storage hallway area including washing and maintaining dishes
- Assist with food prep and portioning
- Assist with closing duties including mopping storage area and dish room
- Notify a manager immediately of any guest complaints.
- Interacts with internal and external customers in a positive, professional and accommodating manner
- Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures.
- Assist all service personnel in any duties as requested
- Other duties may be assigned
