This position supports the Engineering department. The R&D Intern will have a basic understanding of how to approach problem solving after general direction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supports performance of R&D functions
Performs routine and administrative tasks
Helps maintain a clean and safe environment
Primarily performs established processes and procedures as directed
Assists with more complex tasks
Has basic understanding and skill in hands-on technical, mechanical, manufacturing, electronic, instrumentation, and/or engineering areas
Basic verbal communication skills
Basic written communication skills
Accurate, basic data collection and analysis skills
Interacts with others within R&D
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Currently enrolled in higher education past the High School level
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write, including business correspondence and technical documents. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
