The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the weighbridge operations, ensuring accurate measurements and records of vehicles entering and exiting the facility. This role requires strong communication skills and a mechanical understanding to operate the weighbridge effectively.
Duties
- Operate the weighbridge system to accurately weigh vehicles and their loads.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including vehicle identification, weight measurements, and time of entry/exit.
- Logistically plan and manage the movement of vehicles, optimising routes and schedules for efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to ensure smooth operations at the weighbridge.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations during all operations at the Quarry.
- Proven experience in a similar role or environment, preferably within the aggregates industry.
- Proficient in using weighbridge software and other relevant tools.
- Familiarity with logistics planning is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with drivers and team members.
- Valid driving licence; experience as a commercial driver is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records.
Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
