What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand Ambassador - Queens NY position at Fernway Procurement LLC?
We are seeking an engaging and results-oriented Part-Time Brand Ambassador (PT BA) to champion Fernway’s field marketing initiatives across retail locations in the Queens area. PT BAs will play a pivotal role in increasing brand awareness, supporting retailer staff, and engaging directly with consumers. This role requires a proactive approach to representing Fernway, focusing on product education, visual merchandising, and seamless event execution to enhance brand loyalty and drive sales.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Budtender Training & Support:
- Support the onboarding of new retailer staff by delivering impactful product training that empowers budtenders to confidently communicate Fernway’s unique selling points and engage effectively with consumers.
- Regularly refresh budtender knowledge of Fernway products, promotions, and brand story to ensure our products are top-of-mind and budtenders are well-prepared to drive sales.
- Merchandising & Brand Visibility:
- Ensure that product displays and merchandising setups meet high visual standards and align with Fernway’s brand guidelines. Take ownership of regular updates and adjustments to keep displays fresh and impactful, prioritizing locations that maximize consumer engagement.
- Monitor display conditions and coordinate with the Field Marketing Manager (FMM) to address needs for updates or restocks, maintaining a consistent and compelling brand presence across all accounts.
- Activations & Consumer Engagement:
- Execute in-store and external brand activations, from setup to teardown, that meaningfully connect consumers to the Fernway brand. Deliver a seamless experience at pop-ups, retail events, and other activations, ensuring Fernway’s brand identity and messaging are effectively communicated.
- Engage with consumers directly to increase product awareness, answer questions, and build brand loyalty through memorable experiences.
- Capture engaging content to boost awareness and engagement ensuring it aligns with brand standards and highlights key products, activations, and unique store experiences.
- Resource & Supply Coordination:
- Manage personal supplies required for events, including SWAG, samples, and display materials, ensuring availability and preparedness for each activation. Collaborate with the FMM as needed to access larger inventories or special supplies to enhance event impact.
- Scheduling & Reporting:
- Report to the Field Marketing Manager (FMM), who sets PT BA schedules in collaboration with Account Executives (AE) where needed to meet sales goals across all territories.
- hours as needed for events. Schedules may occasionally shift to accommodate events.
- Maintain up-to-date activity logs in HubSpot, tracking all activations, meetings, and engagements in real time to support performance tracking and identify opportunities for growth.
- Sales & Marketing Alignment:
- Attend weekly commercial team sync meetings to stay informed on new product launches, promotional strategies, and retail objectives, ensuring alignment with Fernway’s commercial goals.
- Provide feedback from the field on consumer and retailer insights to help refine sales strategies and identify high-impact opportunities for product positioning and brand messaging.
- Availability:
- Must be available Wednesday’s 10AM - 2PM, and Thursday through Saturday’s 11AM - 7PM, with flexibility for additional
- Must be available to work during designated blackout periods around major holidays when PTO requests are not permitted (e.g., 4/20, Thanksgiving weekend, Black Friday, New Year’s Eve). Flexibility during these peak times is required to meet business needs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be 21 and provide valid identification
- Must pass a background check in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws
- 1 years in cannabis industry and/or 1 years retail experience
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Highly approachable and team-oriented personality
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for execution
- Social media/content creation experience
- Reliable travel 100% of time to retail partners, events, and activations
- Ability to lift over 40 lbs
- Comfortable with technology and various marketing tools
