Facilities Project Manager

Join Our Team as a Facilities Project Manager! Are you a results-driven project manager with a passion for facility maintenance and construction?  As a Facilities Project Manager with Ferrandino & Son, Inc. you will assume a leadership role in the provision of professional management of our clients’ needs as well as the management of our self-perform and vendor relationships ensuring that they are in direct support of the overall goals and objectives of Ferrandino & Son’s programs.   

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, organize and manage the design, construction and execution of small and complex projects within the Facilities and/or Construction space.
• Will manage multiple projects simultaneously, in varying degrees of size and scope
• Indirectly manage the performance of the project team including but not limited to consultants, construction managers and contractors within the approved schedule and budget
• Review project plans to determine the project scope, schedule, budgeting and resources; ensure all projects are delivered to scope, schedule and budget
• Coordinate activities for internal resources and vendors to ensure seamless execution, including but not limited to scheduling of crews, ordering materials & equipment, receiving and validating completion documentation, invoicing, etc.
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and resources
• Communicate project performance to internal leadership and client on regular basis
• Manage the relationship with the client and all key stakeholders (internal and external)
• Mitigate risks and proactively communicates risks to leadership and client

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• College degree and/or relevant experience at a project management experience in facility maintenance and/or construction industries
• 3 years as a project manager or similar role in construction or facility management fields
• Ability to read blue prints
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of productivity applications
• Ability to operate independently, under pressure, to perform multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities, and to deal with changing priorities, while maintaining personal effectiveness
• High level of commitment to customer service and teamwork
• Should be self-motivated/self-directed with the ability to make decisions
• Ability to communicate effectively via various communication modes/channel (verbal, phone, email, text, other)
• Ability to be clear and concise in communications
• High Attention to detail
• Ability to meet scope, budget budget and timeline requirements
• Ability to learn and work in our work order and/or Project Management systems
• Intermediate to advanced experience/knowledge in Excel
• Ability to work well with others (internal and external)
• Valid NYS Drivers license and ability for some travel within Long Island and the 5 boroughs of NYC

Salary Range Detail: The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $130,000 per year.  The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member’s base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, department, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, budget and internal equity).
