Ferrane bakery is seeking a passionate & dedicated Head Baker to helm a small team of eager, hard-working bakers in a brand new, state of the art kitchen. The Head Baker will have the exciting opportunity to
collaborate with a team of award-winning professional bakers from Sweden to innovate breads, pastries, and croissants. Ferrane is looking for a professional baker that is skilled in bread & viennoiserie production, developing new recipes & implementing products into daily operation, and managing & training a team of bakers. The Head Baker should be dedicated to details & committed to consistency, maintaining a solutions-oriented perspective, and embracing a philosophy of open & positive communication.

Overview of Responsibilities:
Lead a small team of bakers in daily production
Ensure all products are executed at a high level of consistency
Innovate recipes to create new menu items
Oversee inventory, ordering, & food costs
Managing the baking team schedule & delegating production tasks
Implementing systems that ensure an clean, organized kitchen
Training bakers on the proper techniques to ensure accuracy & precision
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years professional culinary experience
Well versed in bread baking, including sourdough, pre-ferments, and yeast-leavened doughs
Skilled in viennoiserie, including lamination, sheeting, and shaping
Open availability to a flexible work schedule
Ability to adapt as production schedule needs demand
Bakery will be open 7 days a week & shifts begin at 4 AM
