**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to join our team as Division Director of Engineering. This role will oversee the development, design, and documentation of our product lines, working closely with Sales, Service, and Operations teams to meet company goals.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide innovative thought leadership on strategies to grow market share, increase profitability, and meet long-term business goals.
- Manage engineering teams from design, technical sales, and aftersales support to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Implement corporate policies and ensure managers and staff perform their duties and responsibilities.
- Plan and develop department budgets and manage expenses to conform with budget.
- Implement best-of-breed engineering practices and methods.
- Schedule divisional engineering projects and ensure efficient personnel utilization.
- Work with BU engineering leads to develop long and short-range plans.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement of products and processes to better serve customers and improve overall profitability.
- Maintain design adherence to cost, operation, reliability, manufacturability, and industry standards.
- Interpret and set design objectives, correlating and assisting in the development of design and drawings.
- Maintain design liaison with new or revised parts through various stages of manufacture.
- Maintain complete uniform and up-to-date records of all projects and drawings.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field with at least 10 years experience in engineering leadership required.
- Master's degree in relevant engineering field preferred.
- Excellent grasp of local and federal laws and regulations governing engineering governance in public projects.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
- Effective presentation skills for one-on-one and small group situations.
- Step-up to conflicts, seeing them as opportunities; read situations quickly; good at focused listening; can hammer out tough agreements and settle disputes equitably.
- Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully; is constantly and consistently one of the top performers.
