Job Description :
The AP / AR clerk compiles and maintains verified accounts payable records, reconciles statements, and issues payment to vendors. The Inventory / Deposits Clerk specializes in dealership inventories, dealer trades, and daily deposits.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Checks all vouchers and obtains appropriate payment approval.
- Prepares accounts payable checks.
- Posts all open items in accounts payable on a daily basis.
- Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
- Reconciles statement and the ledger making sure that payments are consistent with dealership schedules.
- Reconciles cash schedule.
- Reconciliation and schedule management must be done once a week.
- Communicates cash requirements for payable dates to the office manager.
- Analyzes vendor accounts.
- Answers all vendor inquiries.
- Reconciles bank balances on a daily basis.
- Assists in monthly closings.
- Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
- Assists with special projects, as necessary.
- Accounting for all new inventory.
- Make sure all the stock numbers are logged into the system.
- Get invoices approved and post invoices in accounting
- Create jackets for auto inventory - new car.
- Responsible for stocking in consignments.
- Supporting our Business Office Manager in all things related to dealership inventories.
- Responsible of ensuring that daily deposits are entered and deposited in the proper accounts and deposited in the bank.
- Reconciling cash clearing accounts each day to zero
- Effective management and reconciliation of all receipted monies
- Cuts refunds on parts and service
- Cross-trains others for this position as directed by management.
- Filing as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills / Education required to perform the role :
PAY : $24.00 / hr
