In order to strengthen our Parts team, we are looking to hire a Warehouse Manager, based in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.
In this position, you will be responsible for for directing and overseeing the warehouse operations of Ferrari North America. In addition, the warehouse supervisor will be responsible to continuously train and improve our people and processes in all aspects of warehouse operations. Manage daily operations regarding receiving, picking, prep, assembly, load-out, put-away, and returns. Responsible for creating an environment that ensures customer satisfaction and maximum productivity.
As part of the team, the main responsiblities will be:
- Accountable for all daily distribution center activities including safety, quality, delivery, customer service, productivity, maintenance and the continuous improvement of the warehouse
- In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse
- Data-driven approach to decisions across teams, continuously analyzing data to improve operations including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities
- Comfortable using inventory management software and other organizational computer applications
- Familiarity with inventory control practices and logistics
- Managing the warehouse storage and warehouse inventory
- Manage performance standards and processes for optimizing operations, customer satisfaction, and controlling costs
- Resolves service issues with dealer parts services
- Ensure all cycle count/physical inventories processes and targets are met
- Ensure compliance on all local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Participate and support the development, training, and post auditing of all Standard Operating Procedures
- Champion all environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness
- Support all warehouse functions as needed
People Management
- Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict
- Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening
- Managing onboarding experiences for all new warehouse employees to ensure proper training is executed
- Handle employee relations issues
In order to succeed in this role, you will have gained at least 5-8 years of domestic and/or international warehousing experience.
The following skills are required to perform the role: Strong believer in teamwork and multidisciplinary approach. Picking/packing, shipping, receiving of various merchandis, Operate forklift (OSHA compliant certification). Detail oriented, Automotive background a plus. Excellent technical skills – MS Office (specifically advanced Excel and PowerPoint). Engineering background and analytic skills, strong communication and presentation skills. Standing for long periods of time, stooping, bending, lifting must be able to lift 50lb minimum. Some overtime might be required by management. It is open warehouse area.
