Job Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of Inventory Control. This person reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
The position of the Inventory Control Supervisor is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and shall not be entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 in any one work week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory program, which includes inventory accuracy and reduced risk exposure (obsolete).
- 100% utilization of our IDS/ERP system for all aspects of the job.
- Maintain and monitor expiration dates on all items.
- Check and verify all shipping/receiving documents and resolve discrepancies regarding overages or shortages.
- Work cooperatively with Purchasing by tracking and reporting inventory needs to the Purchasing department and communicating incoming material discrepancies.
- Perform cycle counts, quarterly and year-end inventories including the research and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Receipt/Inventory Reconciliation.
- Inventory Confirmations and Inventory discrepancies research.
- Inventory adjustments.
- Knowledge and use of WMS systems.
Job Requirements:
- Must be analytical and detail-oriented.
- Must be flexible and able to work extensive overtime as needed.
- Knowledge of both SQF and HAACP.
- Extensive experience with Excel and spreadsheet management is a must.
- Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must possess a minimum of two years prior warehouse or related experience.
- Basic experience in MS Word and Excel and working knowledge of inventory control systems and processes.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the Food Distribution Industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good writing skills.
Salary to commensurate with experience.
