Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at our Nursing Homes in Orlando, Florida. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and providing high-quality care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform at least 20 procedures per day
- Remote Monitoring: Act as the point of contact for patients enrolled in RPM, assisting with device setup, troubleshooting, and training.
- Data Collection: Record and analyze patient data from monitoring tools (e.g., vital signs, glucose levels) and assist healthcare providers in adjusting care plans.
- Clinical Support: Aid in procedures such as POCUS, spirometry, and stress tests, ensuring patient comfort and compliance.
- Patient Education: Teach patients about RPM and interpreting their health data, offering guidance on managing chronic conditions.
- EHR Management: Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely documentation in the EHR system (Point Click Care preferred).
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare teams, providing insights from RPM data and assisting in patient care strategies
- Notes: Comprehensively review and analyze provider notes, including patient history, physical examinations, and other relevant details.
- Assess note quality for alignment with CMS requirements and suggest improvements.
- Correlate clinical information with appropriate diagnoses and procedure codes.
- Effectively communicate with healthcare providers regarding documentation discrepancies.
- Input finalized notes into the designated Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system within 24 hours.
- Adhere to all hospital and medical facility policies, including HIPAA and Joint Commission standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize clinic workflow.
- Refrain from participating in direct patient care activities and redirect patient care-related queries to the responsible provider.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
Compensation:
$22.00 hourly
