JOB TITLE: Roll Form Operator
DEPARTMENT: Production
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisors
HOURS: Regular, Full-time, Non-exempt
6:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Thursday
6:00 am - 10:00 am Friday’s
STARTING PAY: $ 17.00 per hour
$ 3.00 per hour Attendance Bonus
(subject to Attendance Bonus Policy)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Roll Form Operator to join the Ferret Inc. team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with sheet metal, fabricating metal parts, and operating heavy machinery. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Roll Form Operator will be responsible for roll forming parts effectively to customer prints and will work closely with other team members to ensure orders are completed efficiently and safely.
RESPONSIBILITES AND REQUIREMENTS:
· Fabricate metal parts through the roll forming process.
· Must follow all SOP's.
· Mark all returned or rejected material with a tag and verify the piece count and weight.
· Verify all product has been labeled before being stored.
· Utilize tape measure, micrometer, and calipers, to measure metal parts to precise specifications.
· Safely operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and cranes.
· Willingness to be flexible and perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors.
· Must follow all company policies, shop rules, and safety regulations.
· Must maintain a clean and organized workspace.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Ability to maintain line productivity standards.
· Ability to accurately report production quantities.
· Ability to operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and cranes.
· Knowledge of machine operations and maintenance per SOP.
· Ability to accurately use a tape measure, micrometer, and caliper.
· Manage quality of parts and adjust dies to maintain parts to spec
· Familiarity with sheet metal.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Basic math skills, including the ability to add and subtract decimals and fractions.
· Must maintain professional conduct at all times.
· Physical stamina to lift and move 30 lbs. continuously.
· Ability to stand and walk for 9 hours continuously.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
