What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Consultant position at Ferretti Search?
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Consultant to join our client's team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will work 4-6 hours every Friday or Monday, with additional hours throughout the week to answer payroll-related questions via email. The total weekly commitment is approximately 4-8 hours, with the potential to grow to 20 hours per week based on proven payroll success. This role involves handling employee benefits, H2B visa processes, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of payroll information into the system.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist with general ledger accounting related to payroll transactions.
- Collaborate with the human resources department to ensure accurate employee data and payroll records.
- Analyze payroll data and prepare reports for management.
- Maintain knowledge of governmental accounting regulations and ensure compliance.
- Process accounts payable related to payroll, such as benefits administration and tax withholdings.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in payroll coordination or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Familiarity with human resources processes and procedures.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends or issues.
- Proficiency in 10-key typing for efficient data entry.
- High degree of organization and ability to follow up with a sense of urgency.
