Position Purpose:
The Customer Service and Sales Specialist provides essential support to sales operations for the custom manufacturing services division. The primary purpose of this role is to be the internal contact for sales in managing customer needs and requirements. The CSSS maintains ongoing rapport with contacts at assigned accounts while serving as a “voice of the customer” to Ferriot manufacturing and other functional areas.
Key competencies include:
- Participate in and oversee all aspects of customer records and order management including price verification, order entry and confirmation, shipment logistics, product complaints and disposition of returned materials.
- Work with Sales Account Managers to satisfy assigned customer accounts.
- Coordinate with Buyer/Planner/Scheduler/Shipping to fulfill customer orders.
- Assist in creating responses to special Requests For Proposal (RFP).
- Manage disposition and/or removal of customer tooling and property as required.
- Communicate daily with customer contacts via phone, email and messaging.
- Respond to and direct all incoming phone calls.
- Participate in internal and customer meetings as needed.
- Analyze, document and generate customer related information and reports.
- Become familiar with Customer Supply Agreements, proactively notifying appropriate personnel when issues or conflicts arise.
- Back up other department team members as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
