The Addison Northwest School District is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for our Ferrisburgh Central School (grades K - 5) to evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. To treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Provide training and education to staff and families and work collaboratively with a variety of professionals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Include the following, and other duties may be assigned.
- Work with school-age children and young adults
- Listen to concerns about academic, social language problems and provide strategies and interventions to remediated concerns
- Provide consultative services to staff
- Evaluate and diagnosis of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Treat via direct instruction speech, language, and communication disorders
- Meet with parents and teachers to discuss speech, language, and communication concerns
- Research and implement learning programs
- Conduct special education evaluations
- Work with students who use augmentative and alternative communication systems
- Provide aural rehabilitation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
