What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant - Medical Administration (Law Firm) position at Ferrone Law Group PLC?
Our firm specializes in the representation of public safety officers and associations.
This position works within a team for a Workers’ Compensation Attorney. The preferred candidate has a law firm (or other professional business) experience completing administrative tasks. However, strong experience in retail, reception, or other high volume customer service roles are welcome. This role includes a high volume of straight-forward tasks requiring efficiency and organization, followed by the ability communicate those tasks to clients and attorneys. The candidate will be given the training needed to succeed.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Finding doctors for clients, setting appointments, coordinating care, and communicating with medical offices
- Educating clients on the process and communicating issues to the team and insurance adjusters
- Following all requests for medical treatment, calendaring follow ups, and ensuring insurance adjusters approve or deny them
- Assist with correspondence to clients, ensure they perform medical treatment and diagnostic testing
- Clerical duties such as answering calls, emailing and managing online documents, and electronic file management through a legal document management system.
Requirements
- Experience in a law office preferred (Worker's Compensation) – retail, reception, or other high-volume admin and/or customer service experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks and demands.
- Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Microsoft Office, Adobe, and online document proficiency
- Professional demeanor and the ability to use initiative, diplomacy and tact
