Your Role: Driving excellence through technical expertise and innovation
Our Power Generation division provides turnkey projects to facilitate the development, engineering, construction, commissioning, and operation of renewable power plants.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Procurement Manager to lead our procurement efforts for solar energy construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient acquisition of materials, equipment, and services necessary for the successful completion of solar energy projects.
What You Will Do:
Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with project goals and company objectives.
Lead the procurement team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and subcontractors based on quality, cost, and reliability.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements and mitigate risks.
Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.
Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and project timelines.
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new technologies.
Manage inventory levels and coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to procurement in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and industry partners.
Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, performance metrics, and cost savings
Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are: A Profile of Succes
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably within the renewable energy or construction industry.
Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of solar energy technologies and construction practices is highly desirable.
Certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CPPB) is a plus
This position may require occasional travel to supplier sites and project locations.
The role is primarily office-based, with some field visits as necessary
