Job Title : Registered Nurse

Job Description :
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in emergency, acute care, outpatient, and swing bed care settings.
- Deliver care reflecting initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with minimal supervision.
- Triage patients safely, rapidly, and accurately upon entering the emergency care department.
- Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs.
- Communicate with the attending provider about patient status changes, symptoms, and diagnostic study results.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Evaluate outcomes, consult with other staff, and adjust nursing care processes as needed.
- Complete orientation and training on new equipment.
- Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments as per policy.
- Utilize a triage process to ensure timely and appropriate patient care.
- Assess and manage pain using appropriate techniques and document consistently in the electronic health record.
- Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results.
- Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac monitoring, identify dysrhythmias, and treat appropriately.
- Perform waived testing as per clinical laboratory and patient care unit policies.
- Maintain current knowledge of medications and their administration based on patient age and clinical condition.
- Follow medication rights and work to reduce medication errors.
- Prepare, hang, monitor, and discontinue IV fluids with aseptic technique.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation, including patient histories and treatment responses.
- Support and maintain a culture of safety and quality.
- Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity, identifying and addressing their psychosocial and cultural needs.
- Act as a liaison between administration, patients, physicians, and healthcare providers.
- Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles to provide age-appropriate care.
- Engage patients and families in forming the care plan.
