Provide direct and indirect patient care in emergency, acute care, outpatient, and swing bed settings.Reflect initiative, flexibility, and responsibility in patient care with minimal supervision.Safely, rapidly, and accurately triage patients entering the emergency care department.Determine priorities based on physical and psychosocial needs and patient flow considerations.Communicate effectively with attending providers regarding patient status and diagnostic results.Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe assessments for all patient age groups.Utilize triage processes to ensure timely and appropriate care, accurately assigning categories.Assess and reassess pain, using appropriate management techniques and documenting assessments.Monitor hemodynamic status and cardiac monitoring, identifying dysrhythmias and responding appropriately.Perform and interpret waived testing per policies and procedures.Maintain knowledge of medications and administer them correctly based on patient age and condition.Follow the seven medication rights to reduce medication errors.Prepare, hang, monitor, and discontinue IV fluids using aseptic technique.Maintain accurate nursing documentation, covering patient histories, conditions, treatments, and responses.Perform patient care in an environment prioritizing patient safety and reducing errors.Follow provider orders from electronic medical records consistently.Support and maintain a culture of safety and quality, treating patients and families with respect and dignity.Address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious / spiritual needs of patients and families.Serve as a liaison between administration, patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.Recognize growth and development principles across the lifespan and provide age-appropriate care.Foster professional interaction with patients and families, involving them in the care plan.Actively participate in quality improvement activities.Regularly check and respond to hospital emails and accounts throughout the workday.Complete mandatory education within designated timeframes and maintain regulatory requirements.Attend annual reviews, department in-services, and at least 75% of staff meetings.Comply with policies regarding ethical practices and the employee handbook.Communicate the organization's mission, vision, and values.Adhere to dress code standards, maintaining a neat and clean appearance.Maintain confidentiality in accordance with organizational policy and regulations, including HIPAA.Benefits :
