Job Overview
Ferry Machine Corporation is a leading manufacturer of precision metal parts, and we are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist Engineer to join our team. As a CNC Machinist Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing CNC machining programs using Mastercam, as well as reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical knowledge and machining principles, with experience in precision measuring instruments and ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Proficiency in Mastercam is required, but Solidworks experience is also acceptable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop CNC machining programs using Mastercam
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Utilize calipers and micrometers to ensure accurate measurements
- Apply knowledge of GD&T to ensure precise and accurate machining
- Operate and troubleshoot milling machines
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop and implement CNC machining programs
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications
- Maintain accurate records of machining programs and processes
