Job Summary:
Ferry Machine Corporation seeks a highly skilled Mechanical Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure the highest quality standards in our metal manufacturing processes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting precision metal components and assemblies from production, confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and utilizing various gauges and inspection equipment.
About This Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in quality assurance and mechanical inspection to join our team. You will work closely with engineers and other quality control specialists to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform in-process and final inspections of parts using measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers while following established procedures
* Work from engineering drawings and other established specifications
* Read blueprints and inspect to ensure strict adherence to tolerances
* Produce in-process and final inspection reports
* Inspect incoming material
* Calibrate tools in inspection and for other machinists
* Input data into databases as required for calibration and rejection data
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of quality assurance inspection experience in contract manufacturing
* BS from an accredited school or diploma from an accredited technical school preferred
* Must be authorized to work in the US for any company
* Basic knowledge of GD&T
* Working knowledge of ISO9001/ISO13485 QMS requirements
* Proficiency in using mechanical inspection equipment including micrometers, gages, calipers, CMM, and other inspection measuring tools
* Computer skills required: E2 MRP Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management Software
