The Mechanical Designer will develop detailed piping designs and layouts for geothermal power plants, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. This position will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create accurate construction drawings, perform calculations for pipe sizing and material selection, and address design challenges proactively. The role involves coordinating with engineers, conducting field visits, and maintaining documentation to support seamless project execution. This position will report to the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare detailed piping designs, drawings, and layouts for geothermal power plants using CAD software (Plant 3D, Civil 3D, Revit etc.)
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to translate conceptual designs into detailed construction drawings
- Conduct field visits to gather data, verify existing conditions, and provide support during installation and construction phases
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, to ensure seamless integration of designs
- Maintain project documentation, including revision control, and ensure timely delivery of deliverables
- Review vendor drawings and specifications to ensure compatibility with design requirements
- Identify and address potential design issues proactively, proposing solutions to maintain project timelines and budgets

Fervo Energy is headquartered in Houston, TX with growing offices in Oakland, CA, Golden, CO, Reno, NV, and Salt Lake City, UT. This position will be eligible for some hybrid work flexibility, but regular in-office presence at the Houston or Reno offices will be required. Travel is required for this position.

Fervo Energy is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company in good faith believes it might pay and / or offer for this position based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location. Expected Salary : $90,000 - $135,000 based on location.
Fervo Energy reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
