This position will be eligible for some hybrid work flexibility, but regular in-office presence at the Houston or Reno offices will be required. Travel is required for this position.

Requirements
Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare detailed piping designs, drawings, and layouts for geothermal power plants using CAD software (Plant 3D, Civil 3D, Revit etc.)
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to translate conceptual designs into detailed construction drawings
- Conduct field visits to gather data, verify existing conditions, and provide support during installation and construction phases
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, to ensure seamless integration of designs
- Maintain project documentation, including revision control, and ensure timely delivery of deliverables
- Review vendor drawings and specifications to ensure compatibility with design requirements
- Identify and address potential design issues proactively, proposing solutions to maintain project timelines and budgets
- Associate degree in Mechanical or Civil Design/Drafting, or a related field, is preferred; however, equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical or civil drafting/design with a focus on piping systems
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., Plant 3D, Plant)
- Familiarity with geothermal systems or experience in power plant design is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of piping materials, codes, and standards, including ASME B31.1/B31.3
- Ability to interpret and create PFDs, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and 3D models
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment; Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel to various field locations and Fervo office locations up to 25% of the time
- Geothermal facilities design experience; refinery facilities design experience
- Experience with ArcGIS
- Experience with Civil drawings/designs and software (CivilWorks etc.)
