Job Description
The Freight Transport Specialist is a critical role at Fesco, responsible for transporting equipment to job sites and other locations in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing job assignments with the utmost care, adhering to all safety precautions and DOT regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport equipment to job sites and other locations as assigned
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the highest level of maintenance
- Report any maintenance issues to mechanics for prompt attention
- Maintain vehicles to the highest possible standards
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the Freight Transport Specialist must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Obtain and maintain a commercial driver's license commensurate with their classification and DOT regulations
- Ability to work in various types of weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing /- 70 lbs
- Ability to stoop, crawl, bend, twist, turn and climb ladders and stairs
- Effective communication skills to interact with others safely and efficiently
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on experience and location. In addition to competitive compensation, Fesco offers a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
