F&B is involved in all things concrete, earthwork and site utilities related, including building foundations, concrete slab on grade, concrete elevated slabs, shored concrete slabs, industrial press pit foundations, concrete pavementprojects, site development, to earthwork and pipework.
The Chief Estimator
The Chief Estimator oversees budgets and estimates produced in the Nashville region, under the Regional Director. The Chief Estimator oversees the estimating process for all projects bids and maintains standardized procedures, methods, and processes for estimating and training.
The Chief Estimator oversees analysis of past performance on projects and establishes estimating standards for future estimates based on such analysis and assists in oversight and maintenance of the historical cost database, bid management, and estimating software.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to :
- Directly manage members of the regional Estimating team through mentoring and coaching
- Assist in the bid review process to confirm bids are accurate and to instruct the team on best practices when necessary
- Identify project-specific risk issues and the potential impact on Fessler & Bowman, as well as potential strategies to help mitigate those risks
- Develop innovative, accurate estimates consistent with Fessler & Bowmans costs
- Executes the sales strategy for the region including target customers and projects focusing on building and maintaining new and existing relationships with customers in conjunction with Regional Directors and Business Development

This position includes a competitive salary structure based on skills and experience with a comprehensive benefits package. The position is based in the Nashville, TN office and requires occasional travel between job sites.
