What You'll Do
- Lead and Inspire: Directly manage a team of inventory specialists, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone contributes to our success
- Coordinate the Dance: Orchestrate the pulling, prepping, and post-event check-in processes for inventory items, ensuring everything moves efficiently between our warehouse and event venues
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures that ensure all items leave our warehouse in perfect condition and return properly accounted for
- Hands-On Management: Work alongside your team during busy periods, demonstrating techniques and setting the standard for careful handling of our unique inventory
- Problem Solving: Use creative thinking (not automated systems) to optimize storage layouts, develop efficient workflows, and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Client Connection: Build positive relationships with venue partners and facility managers to ensure smooth operations during setup and teardown
- Environment Management: Maintain a clear and organized work environment that allows for efficient inventory management
- Team Development: Identify educational opportunities for your team to grow their skills and knowledge in the event industry

Physical requirements:
- Ability to stand, stoop, and bend at the waist and knees for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs regularly throughout the shift
- Required to stand and walk for extended periods, often 8 hours per day
- Work involves frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and kneeling
- Manual dexterity for handling delicate décor items and equipment
- Ability to maintain balance while carrying items
- May require working at heights on secure ladders or lifts

Environmental adaptability:
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all Minnesota weather conditions year-round (extreme heat, cold, rain, snow)
- Adaptation to variable temperatures between indoor and outdoor environments
- Ability to safely navigate various terrain including stairs, ramps, unpaved surfaces, and uneven ground
- Comfort working in typical event environments (dust, pollen, airborne particles, cleaning solutions, variable noise/lighting)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to resolve conflicts and foster collaboration
- History of building positive relationships with venue partners and facility managers
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to conserve and protect company assets
- Commitment to maintaining a clear and organized work environment
- Willingness to take on additional duties and educational opportunities, as assigned

- Event management or production experience in event decor, event rental, event tenting, AV, convention services, or related fields
