POSITION SUMMARY:
The Inventory Planning Analyst supports company efforts to manage inventory levels across the supply chain to meet customer demand. This role involves tracking sales data, assisting with demand forecasting, and supporting efforts to maintain balanced inventory levels. The analyst will work to prevent stockouts, reduce excess stock, and ensure efficient inventory flow. This position supports the team in maintaining a smooth inventory system that aligns with business needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
1. Plan demand in SAP ERP by analyzing order entries, reviewing historical data, and assessing upcoming market trends.
2. Assess consumption and forecasts to create purchase orders based on identified needs.
3. Track all purchase orders, including shipments, invoicing, arrival times, and fulfillment timelines, while monitoring high-volume items for accurate vendor fulfillment.
4. Communicate with the receiving team to verify the accuracy of received items and collaborate with customer service on backorders and inventory availability.
5. Maintain item data master files for all 6,000 active items within the sales planning function, ensuring data integrity.
6. Monitor backorders and SKU transitions, generating weekly status reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Basic Qualifications:
- BA / BS degree in business or supply chain logistics or related field required.
- 1 to 2 years' experience in high volume inventory planning required.
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English required.
- Advanced or expert excel skills required.
- Advanced SAP, and SAP BI skills required.
- Experience using ERP system(s) and Microsoft office.
- 3 to 5 years' experience preferred.
- Extra certification in supply chain or SAP preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend German or Spanish preferred.
- Highly motivated, self-driven individual with the ability to work without daily guidance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Interpersonal skills, ability to affectively communication both verbally and in writing.
