JOB OVERVIEW.
The Manager, Shelter Operations will play a critical role in overseeing and enhancing our partnerships with animal shelters. This position involves managing relationships, ensuring efficient operations, and implementing initiatives that support our mission to promote pet health and well-being through our insurance offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal welfare, shelter management, and partnership development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working with existing and new shelter accounts to improve overall operational processes.
- Being onsite to train and launch new shelter accounts, by demonstrating and outlining the insurance process.
- Goal to meet and / or exceed an 85% interaction rate vs total adoptions within each individual shelter account.
- Providing recommendations regarding FTE coverage by day / week / month to ensure a 100% coverage model during adoption hours.
- Providing redundancy solutions for PTO and sick days to ensure maximum occupancy.
- Ensuring that all performance tracking is updated on a daily basis, including monthly adoption volume data by shelter.
- Coordinating all on / offsite shelter events and ensuring that any requirements are met for both the shelter and Fetch.
- Ensuring that all shelter payments are processed and remitted on a timely basis.
- Ensuring that staff are licensed and follow the appropriate rules / guidelines in terms of selling insurance.
- Collaborating across departments to onboard new shelter partners.
- Coordinating with RM's to create training schedules for new hires.
- Managing and troubleshooting policy corrections daily across the team.
- Collaborating with our claims team for shelter related claims resolution.
- Fielding questions from other departments / employees as it pertains to shelter processes.
- Keeping the team apprised of company / coverage updates within their areas.
- Collaborating with our marketing team on events, promotional assets, and trade show materials.
- Auditing Commissions across the entire team for the RMs to sign off on. (MUST BE FLUENT IN PBI)
- Floating at shelters if needed.
- Mentoring team members as needed.
