Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our recently opened hospital in Clearwater, FL. As a family-owned veterinary hospital, we offer advanced and specialized veterinary services to our clients and referring veterinarians. Our team of veterinary professionals provide compassionate care and exceptional customer service to our patients and clients alike. The Emergency Vet Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to pets in emergency situations. With the support of our experienced team, you will have the opportunity to utilize and expand your skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families. We currently have day, swing and overnight positions available.
Responsibilities:- Assist with emergency triage and stabilize critically ill or injured animals
- Perform diagnostic procedures, such as blood work, radiographs, and ultrasounds
- Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Provide post-operative care and monitoring to surgical patients
- Communicate effectively with the veterinary team and pet owners, providing updates on patient status and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician is preferred
- Experience as an Emergency Veterinary Technician preferred
- Strong technical skills and ability to operate and maintain medical equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Flexibility with work schedule, including availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
