Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Of One-year HIM Department Experience Is Required
Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, coding, and other aspects of health information.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
Organizes, plans and manages the medical records department in accordance to established policies and procedures.
Ensures resident health information is protected and not disclosed unless by permission or with established policies and procedures.
Maintain complete and accurate records, protect sensitive patient information, and facilitate the efficient and effective use of health data for care coordination and quality improvemant.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of health information, ensuring it is free from errors and inconsistencies. Maintaining reliable and up to date date int the EHR system.
Work closely with other healthcare staff, including nurses, doctors, and administators, to ensure the effecient flow of infoormation and the effective coordination of care.
