We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our plastics manufacturing team. This full-time, on-site role focuses on programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision plastic components. The ideal candidate has 3 years of CNC programming experience, particularly with milling, turning, and drilling plastic materials, and can take immediate action with minimal training. This position requires physical capability, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced production environment. The shift is Monday - Friday, with a flexible start time (typically around 7 : 00 AM). Overtime opportunities are available based on production demands.
- ResponsibilitiesCreate, edit, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and drilling plastic components.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to machine thermoplastics and composite materials with tight tolerances of .001” - .005”.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineered drawings, and GD T specifications specific to plastic manufacturing.
- Make necessary programming adjustments using G M codes.
- Ensure minimal material waste and cycle time optimization while machining plastic components.
- Utilize Parlec Tool-Setters, Renishaw probes, and other precision inspection tools.
- Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on CNC machines.
- Ensure SQF / ISO compliance and follow all safety protocols related to machining plastic materials.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure production efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at the end of each shift.
