Responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining conveyor belts and systems at customer sites and workshops. This field-based role (50-75% travel) requires strong mechanical skills, problem-solving abilities, and adherence to safety regulations.
Ideal Candidate ProfileThe ideal& Conveyor Service Technician & candidate has& hands-on mechanical experience & with conveyor belts or similar systems, preferably in& industrial maintenance, material handling, or a related field . They are comfortable with& frequent travel (50-75%) , working in& warehouse and field environments , and can handle& physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, crouching, and climbing . The candidate should have& strong problem-solving skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a commitment to safety . A& valid driver’s license and the ability to pass pre-employment screenings & are also essential.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain conveyor systems, including splicing, belt cleaning, and pulley lagging.
- Perform mechanical and step splicing using hot and cold repair methods.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper equipment handling.
- Provide professional customer service and escalate issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and a clean work environment.
- Train and mentor apprentices.
