Job Title: Front End Developer
Type: 6 Months Contract to Start

About Client:
We have a UI Developer opportunity for a Bay Area start-up specializing in disruptive edge-computing systems capable of autonomous learning, prediction, and adaptation using vast real-time datasets. This company is at the forefront of inventing and expanding high-performance computing solutions for self-driving cars, camera networks, robotics, drones, conversational agents, and real-time monitoring and diagnostics. Client is currently looking for UI Engineer to create the coolest portal and mobile app on the planet.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Development of high-quality applications in small teams with Front End Experience
- Visual Modeling: Ability to create interactive mockups (Figma / Balsamiq), create detailed Graphical User Interface Layouts and own the customer experience aspects of the Application
- Understanding of development effort and estimations; communicate progress to team manager.
- Deliberate decision making and architectural ownership with respect to design and development of functionality within the context of the deliverable application.
- Documentation of either or, user manuals, (non-)functional application requirements, business processes, workflows, project plans and planning, systems architecture, etc.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience as a UX/UI Developer or similar role.
- Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React).
- Strong design capabilities and passion for slick and usable customer facing UI/UX design.
- Familiarity with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g., Apache).
- Familiarity with Observability Tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK stack).
