FZ is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is focused on serving customers throughout Michigan, Tennessee, and the Carolinas.
FZ is looking for a Project Accountant to perform services for our Carolina offices (performed out of either the Charlotte, NC or Charleston, SC office). The role will be responsible for project level financial performance, billing, collections, and proper contract management on projects varying in size and complexity and will work with project leaders, Finance, and the Branch Director to contribute to financially healthy FZ projects.

Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business strongly preferred.
- 5 or more years of experience with project-level accounting in Construction required.
- Knowledge of standard contract terms applied within construction billing required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound decision making and problem-solving abilities; strong sense of drive; takes initiative to solve problems.
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to manage self to meet deadlines and customer expectations. Effective time management and prioritization skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with an advanced working knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Partners and collaborates effectively, positively, and professionally with internal operational partners and external partners.
- Influencing skills with the ability to educate, inform and be impactful.
