About the Job:
FFE is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing Cincinnati team. This position will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions primarily related to project accounting but will also include the month-end close and budgeting processes.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, experience with ERP systems, project accounting and data analysis.
What you'll be responsible for:
- General ledger accounting duties, including account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and financial report preparation
- Analyzing data to aid in identifying and/or developing efficient business processes
- Assisting in creating the annual budget and tracking budget vs. actual
- Performing project cost accounting, including assisting with project billing, work in progress and review of revenue recognition and backlog
- Coding, accruing, and paying Accounts Payable invoices
- Project set up and close-out, in accordance with firm policies and contractual obligations
- Assisting project managers with applicable project financial analysis

- You know and apply intermediate level accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
- You possess intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Teams, Outlook, Powerpoint
- You have experience with accounting software packages (AJERA a plus)
- You're strong verbal/written communication skills allow you to excel in working with internal and external customers

- You have the ability to analyze information, solve problems, and make informed recommendations

- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- CPA certification, or progressing toward CPA, preferred

This position's total compensation pay range is expected to be between $70,000 and $90,000/year, depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, market factors, and business needs.
If hired, the position is "at-will," the Company reserves the right to modify any component, plan, or program of the total rewards package at any time for any reason.
Work Environment
This position is performed in an office environment and potentially at a home office (with prior authorization from the supervisor); however, the individual is also required to travel to other locations for client meetings, project site visits, conferences, training, and other business-related events, and to the project site as needed.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, and sit; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; operate a vehicle; and talk and hear. Must be capable of lifting and moving up to 20 lbs.
