Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated House Supervisor for our Adult Residential Facility serving individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This role requires someone with significant experience working in high-level behavioral homes (Level 4I), including overseeing direct care staff, providing day-to-day management, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The House Supervisor will work closely with the Home Administrator to maintain the highest standards of care for our residents.
The ideal candidate will be RBT certified, CPR and First Aid certified, and have extensive experience in residential care, specifically in Developmental Services. A deep understanding of Title 17 and Title 22 regulations for Adult Residential Facilities (ARFs) is essential. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support direct care staff in delivering exceptional care to residents.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on resident needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident behavior records and progress.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and health regulations within the facility.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident conditions and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with the administrator to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
- Address any concerns or issues raised by residents or their families promptly and effectively.
- Participate in staff meetings to discuss resident care strategies and improvements.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Level 4I or above
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration and support.
- Experienced DSP
- Ability to write and understand daily shift notes
- DSP1, DSP2, CCLD clearance
- Behavioral Support: Provide guidance and oversight for individuals with high behavioral needs (Level 4I), including ensuring appropriate behavior management strategies are in place and followed
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure the facility remains in compliance with all Title 17 and Title 22 regulations, including accurate documentation, proper reporting, and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Home Administrator to develop and implement operational strategies that improve resident outcomes and staff performance.
- Resident Care: Provide individualized support for residents, ensuring that their needs (medical, behavioral, and personal) are met in a safe and compassionate environment.
- Crisis Management: Handle and de-escalate crisis situations as needed, ensuring that the safety of residents and staff is prioritized.
- Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff to improve their skills and understanding of best practices in developmental and intellectual disabilities care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, behavior plans, and staff performance, ensuring all documentation complies with state and federal guidelines.
