What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation Project Manager position at FFT Production Systems Inc.?
Objective
Assure the delivery just in time or each provision sold by Enterprise, being the operative group leader in charge of the project, planning in detail the activities and resources to fulfill the customer agreement in a profit margin for the company.
Duties
- Main contact for project team and the customer for the project
- Overall cost planning, optimization and observation in accordance with in-house specifications, also in SAP
- Overall schedule in accordance with customer's or in-house specifications
- Overall capacity planning in accordance with in-house specifications
- Organization of project team structures
Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field).
- Experience: Proven track record in managing automation projects, including controls, robotics programming, and joining technologies.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens and Allen-Bradley).
- Experience with robot programming from scratch (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, etc.).
- Knowledge of joining technologies (resistance welding, MIG/MAG, laser, adhesive applications).
- Familiarity with quality evaluation methods (destructive and non-destructive testing).
- Understanding of automotive industry standards (BMW, Magna, GM).
- Project Management Skills: Strong ability to manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables; experience with project management tools (preferably SAP).
- Language: Advanced English (B2/C1) for communication with international clients and teams.
- Work Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the USA without initial visa sponsorship. (Candidates with transferable sponsorships may be considered on a case-by-case basis.)
- Personal Skills: Leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and team collaboration.
- Availability: Willingness to travel frequently or relocate as required by project needs.
