What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Manager position at FG Property Management?
BFG Property Management is looking for an energetic and dedicated Property Manager to manage their premier apartment community in Kansas City, MO.
The Community Manager manages core business processes, including but not limited to staffing, leasing, resident relations, marketing, maintenance, budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, vendor relations, recruiting, training, and team development, but are not limited to:
- Achieving and maintaining occupancy levels per company standards and goals.
- Maximizing NOI through rent optimization, ancillary income opportunities, and proper expense management.
- Overseeing all activities relating to leasing including advertising, prospect management, screening, move-ins/move-outs, etc.
- Overseeing an effective maintenance program that ensures the appearance, safety and functionality of the property.
· Address resident complaints, concerns, and requests appropriately.
· Lead by example and help your team grow by supporting their development.
- Creating positive relationships with residents and vendors.
- Developing a successful resident retention program.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Performing general accounting by depositing funds, submitting invoices, and reviewing resident ledgers.
- Recruiting, developing and leading a successful team.
- Ensuring the compliance of all company policies, local/state/federal laws and statutes and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Three or more years of experience in multi-family housing is preferred.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
- Good leadership skills
- Time management and attention to detail
- Computer proficiency, including MS Office; Word, Excel and Outlook
- Industry designations strongly preferred
- Planning and organizing
- Strategic thinking
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with primary Microsoft Suite products (Excel, Word, Teams)
- Yardi experience is a plus
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- On call and Weekends as needed
