Overview:
FGF Brands is expanding, and we're looking for talented Manufacturing Mechanics to join our growing team.
As a team member, you'll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-volume food manufacturing equipment while prioritizing personnel and food safety at all times.
- Starting Wage: $34.75/hour performance raises $1/hour shift differential for hours worked between 6:00pm and 6:00am.
Responsibilities:
- Respond and react to mechanical issues in the production environment in a timely and efficient manner.
- Complete maintenance projects - PM tasks and work orders as assigned.
- Read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
- Write parts requests, complete work orders, and write corrective work orders.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Keep a clean work area.
- Perform building inspections and routines.
- Communicate with other team members.
- Perform Lock-Out-Tag-Out when necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of work experience in a maintenance mechanic environment.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills are essential.
- BASIC understanding of AC/DC motors, motor control circuits, and photoeyes/sensors is required.
- Knowledge of conveyance is a strong plus.
- Computer literacy is mandatory.
- Familiarity with CMMS work order systems is preferred.
- A food manufacturing background with an understanding of FDA requirements is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to understand verbal and written instructions are required.
- You should be able to understand blueprints and drawings.
- You must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- You must be able to work at heights from ladders or scissor lifts.
- You must be able to make decisions.
- A working knowledge of welding, machining, plumbing, pipefitting, electricity, and the ability to work around strong magnets are required.
- You must be able to speak, read, and write English.
